You may or may not be ware that my dad is an old school geek. When he was a kid, he was a ham radio geek, much like the BBS geeks of my generation. For the last 25 to 30 years, he's been producing Industrial Resistance Testers (big-ass rack mount ohm meters) and non-contact measurement devices (in the 80's, they were huge in the steel industry because they accurately measured the width of hot, moving steel on the production line and the data couple be used to adjust roller pressure).
